Welcome to Windfest 50th Anniversary Registration!

We’re thrilled to celebrate Windfest’s 50th year with you! Hosted by the Portland Chamber of Commerce, Windfest is a family-friendly event offering fun activities for all ages—and even your pets! Join us on Saturday, March 29th, for a day filled with excitement and community spirit.

This year, we're bringing back the groovy vibes with a 70s theme for the parade!

Windfest Parade Registration

After making your selection, enter your Parade Registration information and complete the application with your personal information.

  • Registration for yourself only.

  • Registration for your group or organization where you are the contact person.

Parade Registration Information

  • Entries from local organizations, clubs, or community groups, often showcasing their mission, activities, or achievements. This can include everything from youth sports teams to local charities.

  • Decorated platforms, often mounted on vehicles, that carry performers, entertainers, or thematic decorations. Floats can represent various themes such as holidays, local culture, or specific organizations.

  • Horse riders and sometimes horse-drawn carriages or wagons participating in the parade. Riders may be dressed in period costumes or uniforms that match the parade's theme.

  • Groups of musicians and drummers performing synchronized musical routines while marching. These entries often include color guards who perform with flags, rifles, or other props.

  • Individuals or groups showcasing various talents such as singing, acrobatics, magic tricks, or other street performance arts.

  • Individuals or groups dressed in costumes representing characters from movies, cartoons, historical figures, or mascots.

  • Groups of dancers performing choreographed routines to music. They may dance in costumes that fit the theme of the parade or their specific group.

  • Various vehicles, including vintage cars, decorated trucks, or specially designed vehicles, often featuring unique designs or themes. They might carry groups of people or be decorated to match the parade theme.

  • Participants riding decorated bicycles or scooters, often dressed in costumes or themed attire. These entries are popular for their creativity and the ability to navigate tight spaces.

  • The primary individuals could include mayors, governors, senators, ambassadors, or elected officials. They are often dressed in formal attire or uniforms that denote their rank and status.


There is no fee to enter the parade. There is no requirement to register. This registration serves as a way for us to communicate with you leading up to the event. The inclusion of any affiliations with Portland Windfest does not constitute an endorsement of any third party by either party. Each party remains independently responsible for its own actions and obligations. Portland Windfest and all other events happening March 27-30, 2025 in association with Windfest are events of the Portland Chamber of Commerce. Personal Information

Acknowledgment of Risk: I, the undersigned, acknowledge that participation in the festival involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, property damage, and other unforeseen hazards. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation or participating parties in this event.

Release of Liability: In consideration of being permitted to attend and participate in the festival, I hereby release, waive, and discharge the festival organizers (Portland Chamber of Commerce and the City of Portland), sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and all associated personnel from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage sustained as a result of participation in the event.

Medical Authorization: I authorize the festival organizers to obtain medical treatment for me if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred due to illness or injury.

Photo and Media Release: I grant permission to the festival organizers to use photographs, video recordings, or other media taken during the event for promotional, advertising, or other purposes without compensation or further approval.

Compliance with Festival Rules: I agree to comply with all festival rules and regulations. I understand that failure to do so may result in removal from the event without refund.

Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the festival organizers (Portland Chamber of Commerce and the City of Portland), sponsors, vendors, and all affiliated parties from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from my actions or participating parties during the event.

Acknowledgment and Signature: I have read and understand this Liability Waiver and Release Form. I voluntarily sign this agreement, acknowledging its contents and implications.
